The album is done! 25 tracks spread over two discs. Expect an announcement this weekend regarding the running order. I genuinley believe you will be impressed with the quality of the tracks on it! Doves have some real talented fans out there.

A BIG thank you to each and everyone of you who have contributed to the album. With a bit of luck we will make some money for the Teenage Cancer Trust from October 18th onwards.

The deadline has passed, we are no longer accepting tracks for the project. The album will feature 25 tracks spread across two discs. There will also be a few bonus tracks available to download, not part of the album.

Three tracks have been covered twice. But each version is very different, so there will be no note for note repeats!

I have already started work on the running order, not easy! Hope to have this completed next week, plan on making the album cohesive sounding as possible. Expect an announcement late next week!

We are almost there. The album is about complete. If you still have music to submit, you have until Monday night. In other words as long as its in my inbox when I check my email first thing Tuesday morning. If you have any issues, please get in touch.

This week I will be working on the running order then put together the artwork. The plan is to have everything done ready for a press release that is being issued Monday October 4th.

The album continues to take shape, right now we have 16 tracks for it. With the possibility of up to 8 more, depending however many drop out this final week.

The deadline for submitting music is still September 20th, this is final. Any music received after then will be offered as a bonus track on the website, but will not be on the album, as we have the running order & artwork to complete.

I have been in touch with all the artists yet to submit. If you still have music to submit and I have not been in touch this weekend, then please do email me using the address at the bottom of the site. Not ignoring you, just allot going on.

Echoes In The Alleyway will be released October 18th as a free digital download, available on 320 kbps mp3 & wav audio formats. Though we do ask that you please consider a donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust.


Ok so you are probably wondering what the hell is going to be on Echoes In The Alleyway? Or maybe not?! I’m not going to give too much away just yet. Once I get all the tracks and put together a track list then I will spill all.

I’m not going to pretend  its all going to flow smoothly, it probably wont with so many different styles and sounds. But I will try get it sounding cohesive as can be just like a Doves album would be.

Opening the album will be a cracking ‘wall of sound’ version of Firesuite by Dementio13. Its a brilliant take on what maybe is an obvious opener, but I reckon you folks will like it.

The artists appearing on the album come from all over. Expect sounds from Manchester and all corners of the UK,  USA East to West coast, Australia and even sounds from Kamakura beach in Japan.

Sadly, don’t expect these guys on the album..

Echoes In The Alleyway: A Tribute To Doves is now taking shape. I have got 12 tracks for it at the moment.  Expecting to finish with around 18 tracks.

As expected a few artists dropped out. Though sadly the group who were going to do House Of Mirrors have split up! Considering the album title it would be cool to have that track on it. If there is anyone who wants to do this track and can do it by the end of the month then do get in touch. But no biggy otherwise.

Extended deadline closes September 20th. Expect the website to be updated with info on the artists taking part over the coming weeks.

Release date has been pushed back a couple weeks to October 18th which is now set in stone. Look forward to it!

Delighted to announce the charity that will benefit from the Echoes In The Alleyway A Tribute to Doves project.

When the idea was first discussed after a Doves gig in April, I wasn’t sure about it to be honest. My first question (of many!) was what would be the point?

Today the Teenage Cancer Trust confirmed their involvement with the project. Whilst all downloads will be free, we (everybody involved with putting this together) will be ask that you consider making a donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Donations are voluntary. You will be able to donate using our page at the TCT website, where we will be able to track how much is raised. Our fundraising target is a rather modest £500. But of course if we can make more that would be fantastic. Album is still on course for a early October release. More news soon!

The album is starting to come together rather quickly now. Have received a number of tracks already, and let me tell you that genuinely the quality is fantastic. All the artists are putting in a great deal of time and effort making this project happen. Thank you!  We still have just over a month before deadline, so plenty of time if you have not submitted your track yet.

Looking at putting the album out October 4th. All downloads will be free, but I will be putting up a link to a charity where you can make a donation at their website, hoping that we can track how much we raise.

I’ve had a few latecomers, if you are reading and still want to take part you can, just get in contact with me using the email address at the bottom of the site. I have around 25 tracks, give or take how ever many drop out. Deadline for submitting the music is September 1st.
